Superior 40mm Diff Drop Kit suitable for Toyota Hilux AN2 (08/2025 on) is designed to bring your front driveline geometry back into check on lifted vehicles; built from heavy-duty mild steel and finished in black powdercoat for durability and corrosion resistance. This kit drops the front differential by approx. 40mm to reduce CV angles, improve alignment, and keep everything working as it should under load.
As soon as you start adding a lift kit with extended travel shock absorbers, the front CV angles increase, not only at ride height but even more at full droop. That extra angle puts constant stress on CV joints and boots, which can lead to premature wear, split boots, vibration under acceleration, or failure when the vehicle is under load off-road. And with more droop available, the CVs are forced to operate at steeper angles, and in some cases this can lead to the likelihood of coil bind.
A diff drop kit helps bring those angles back closer to factory spec, which takes the strain off the CVs and allows them to operate more smoothly through the suspension cycle. It’s a simple upgrade that can make a big difference to long-term reliability, particularly on vehicles that see regular off-road use, towing, or extended touring.
It’s also worth noting that while a diff drop improves geometry, it works best as part of a well-balanced suspension setup. It won’t fix poor alignment or excessive lift on its own, but it plays a key role in reducing driveline stress when everything is set up correctly.
