Superior Engineering has been leading the way in suspension systems for Patrols and LandCruisers for years, with proven performance and reliability across the toughest Aussie terrain. Now, they’ve raised the bar once again with the release of their Offroad Pro Series lift kits. Fully street legal in Queensland, these kits are built specifically for the Nissan Patrol GU/GQ and Toyota LandCruiser 80/105/200/79 Series, delivering a true 4” lift and clearance for 35” tyres.

The Offroad Pro kits not only eliminate the legal grey area of running a highly modified 4WD but also come packed with options so you can tailor the setup to match your vehicle's needs and your driving style—whether you're touring, towing, or tackling serious off-road tracks.

Why Suspension Upgrades Matter in Off-Road Performance

For light-duty off-road driving such as dirt tracks, gentle hill climbs, or beach driving on hard-packed sand, the stock suspension may well be enough. However, once you get into hundreds of kilometres of outback corrugations and washouts, heavier loads being carried, or more difficult off-road driving like rock crawling, then you’re going to need a suspension upgrade.

Not only will a longer set of springs and shocks provide more wheel travel and clearance to fit bigger tyres, but they will often also incorporate a much better ride both on and off-road, thanks to the higher quality shock absorbers being used.

But shocks and springs are only the start of a comprehensive suspension upgrade. There are dozens of factors that need to be considered, and things like the tyres being run, the type of driving, the power being put out and even the driver’s style can all play a part in determining the correct suspension geometry and load carrying capabilities. And that’s not even getting into the legal side of things, or the little details that can be the difference between a kit that ends up costing way more time and money than necessary.

As you may have guessed, having expert help is a must. That’s where Superior Engineering come in.

Meet the Superior Offroad Pro Lift Kit

The Superior Offroad Pro Lift Kits are the result of years of R&D, real-world testing, and engineering expertise. Designed to meet the stringent requirements for full road legality in QLD with up to a 4-inch (100mm) lift and 35-inch tyres, these kits are the ultimate solution for anyone chasing serious off-road performance without sacrificing compliance.

Lifting a 4x4 isn’t as simple as throwing in springs and shocks. Steering geometry, brake lines, bush angles, and a dozen other details all need to line up for everything to work properly. Superior Offroad Pro Kits are built with this in mind, supplying everything you need in one go. No guesswork, no delays, no last-minute runs for extra parts. Just a complete, engineered solution built by people who know exactly what works and what doesn’t.

Off-road, they’re just as dialled. Superior’s proven suspension arms and geometry correction components mean you get maximum articulation, traction and durability when you need it most—out on the tracks. And on-road, you’ll often see improved handling and ride comfort too. If you’re looking for a kit that, does it all and gets it right the first time, Offroad Pro is your answer.

Key Features of Offroad Pro Lift Kit

While there are multiple Offroad Pro Kits available, let’s take a closer look at one of the most popular setups—the GQ Patrol Wagon. This kit can be optioned with a GVM upgrade of up to 3465kg and even includes the ability to run a wider track setup, allowing you to fit GU diffs underneath for added strength and compliance. One of the best things about the Offroad Pro Kit is the sheer flexibility. You can spec everything to suit your build—from shock choice and spring rate, right through to brake lines and Radius Arms. It’s all tailored to how you use your rig. That said, for full compliance and road legality, there are a few critical components that must be included—no shortcuts if you want it done right.

The road-legal 4” lift kit starts with a set of taller springs paired with Superior Engineering’s own shocks—ranging from our proven Nitro Gas units right through to the premium 2.5” Remote Res ECDS shocks for unmatched ride quality and control.

From there, we give the steering a proper overhaul with a selection of steering damper options, plus a 4340M drag link and tie-rod upgrades that replace the stock spaghetti links with serious gear. All suspension locating arms are beefed up too—Panhards, radius arms, upper and lower control arms—all engineered for maximum strength and flex, with a range of Superior options to suit your driving style.

The rear coil towers get our must-have brace kit (essential for any serious Patrol build), and if you’re going for the 3465kg GVM upgrade, the rear diff gets braced too. Extended bump stops front and rear are included to keep your travel in check.

Braking gets a full revamp with a new proportioning valve and extended brake lines, with an option to upgrade to our stainless braided lines for a firm pedal feel in all conditions. We also sort your speedo with a correction box to suit the bigger tyres. Next, we get the welder out, modifying and reinforcing the crossmember for Tailshaft clearance. Rear reflectors and extended Superior mudflaps are also fitted to meet ADR compliance, and then it’s off to engineering for sign-off—and straight onto the trails.

Of course, this is just a snapshot—there are plenty of optional upgrades available during the build, from front diff bracing to replacement bushes, shock servicing, or other customisation if you’re already running Superior components.

Engineered for Off-Road Punishment

We’re not some pop-up outfit flogging cheap imported gear with no clue what low range even is. Superior Engineering has been a trusted name in the Aussie 4WD scene since the early 2000s, and we’ve built our reputation through hard-earned experience on some of the toughest tracks in the country. This isn’t a hobby—it’s what we live and breathe.

We know what works, what breaks, and where your money is best spent when building a serious 4WD. That’s why every product we make is engineered, tested, and backed by a real warranty. Built to take on Australia’s harshest terrain and keep your rig driving out the other side—no matter how gnarly it gets.

Heavy Duty Components

All componentry in our Offroad Pro kits has been over-engineered to take serious punishment and allow for a substantial increase in the vehicle’s factory GVM. From our BIS80 high-tensile steel Radius Arms and 4340M steering upgrades, to our heavy-duty diff and chassis bracing components—every part is designed for maximum strength, reliability, and long-term durability. Whether you’re hitting your local hardcore tracks or towing a camper a few thousand kays from home with the family on board, you can trust your rig to hold up under pressure.

High Quality Design

Every Offroad Pro kit has been engineered with a deep understanding of each platform’s strengths and limitations—on and off-road. We’ve taken that insight and built kits that don’t just make these vehicles stronger and safer, but drastically more capable. Our Superflex and Hyperflex radius arms are still unmatched in both articulation and strength, and our replacement control arms, and coil tower bracing continue to set the standard. We’ve been setting the benchmark in Australian suspension for decades—and the Offroad Pro Series is the latest evolution of that legacy.

What Makes the Offroad Pro Lift Kit Stand Out?

There’s no other off-the-shelf 4-inch lift kit in Australia that matches the Offroad Pro in completeness, compliance, and capability. Fully road-legal in Queensland and engineered for a 4-inch lift and 35-inch tyres, this isn’t some cheap shortcut or backyard job. It’s a properly designed and engineered solution—built from the ground up using only approved components, with full attention to safety, legality, and performance. This kit is for serious owners who want their vehicle done right the first time.

Installation & Compatibility

All vehicles must undergo a pre-inspection before installation. That’s because only specific parts are approved as part of the certification process. If your vehicle has aftermarket or factory parts that don’t meet the criteria, they’ll need to be replaced. This step also gives us a chance to walk you through what’s required to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The kit can be installed by an approved external fitter or qualified mechanic. However, for final sign-off and certification, the vehicle must be brought to our Burpengary workshop where our team will complete the compliance process and get your build ready for the road—and the track.

What Vehicles Does It Fit?

Offroad Pro Kits are available for the LandCruiser 79 Series (2007-2016 / 2022-Current), 200 Series (2015-On), 105 Series (Petrol / Diesel), 80 series, and the GQ / GU Patrols (Non-ESC).

We also have a range of suspension gear for heaps of other vehicles too, so jump on our website or get in touch with us directly to discuss your next round of mods.
