Superior Engineering’s Mecavel Steering rods
Superior engineering manufacture tie rods and draglinks from a 20mnv6 High tensile hollow bar steel.
When you compare our steering rods to a factory rod the difference is staggering. Where the factory rod has a 4mm thick wall Superior’s rods are 6mm, and with an outside diameter of 32mm its 5mm larger than factory.
Another factor to consider is that the Superior tie rods and draglinks are adjustable to fix alignment problems, unlike the factory rods that are welded. This also means the tie rod ends are replaceable, so when they wear out you don’t have to buy a whole new rod.
All of the Superior engineering steering rods are finished in Zinc Cobalt Alloy coating to prevent corrosion.
We supply a bolt on steering damper bracket to suit your particular model, we believe if it is a required item it should be included in the price, NOT as an optional extra!
