What Makes Tracklander roof racks superior to the rest
Tracklander have been making roof racks in Australia since 1975 (35 Years), and build all their products for the harsh driving and weather conditions we have to contend with.
When you compare the Tracklander roof rack to other company’s products, some may have one or two features similar, but none have them all.
Tracklander roof racks are made entirely of Aluminium alloy, which allows more weight to be carried on the roof of the vehicle, and all components are Chromate dipped and then powder coated to 100 microns thick, 30% thicker than the industry standard.
Chromate dipping is used to clean and protect the alloy against corrosion and also allows better adhesion for the powder coat
Where most manufacturers use a round or square tube, Tracklander utilise a D shape instead. The advantage of this shape is the round outer edge still provides aerodynamics, but the square inside edge allows a good area for rope/strap to grip onto, therefore reducing the chance of the tiedown strap or rope coming undone over time.

Tracklander also provide standard features that other companies sell as extra options, such as a mesh floor and a front wind deflector. The mesh is welded at all contact points to eliminate rattles and damage caused by vibration. And the wind deflector is made of high impact ABS plastic and will reduce wind noise and fuel consumption.
The materials used are all of the highest quality, the perimeter frame is made of 3mm thick wall aluminium not 1.6mm like some others. Also the corners are mandrel bent to reduce crushing which can make a weak point.

All Tracklander roof racks are covered by a 5 year Guarantee, not just a warranty for manufacturing faults.
